What I took from it was there will be an updater 4 for current versions of
MX,
that have had outstanding bugs and have been fixed during the Red Sky beta
test,
which I think is leading to the new realease of MX, and updaters for pre MX.

My reading of this is that Red Sky itself will be a free update when it is
released.

Are there any free updates for CFMX from the Red Sky beta programme,
to quote the macromedia website,

"It has been determined the lifeguard thread hangs when trying to evaluate
connections on long running queries that it thinks are dormant connections.
This locks the entire connection pool. Macromedia bug 52485 is logged for
this issue and is scheduled to be fixed in the ColdFusion MX "Red Sky"
release currently in beta. It is strongly recommended that customers apply
this free update to ColdFusion MX once it becomes available."
