I'm sure there's plenty of variance between CFUGs. We tend to run all the aspects of the DC CFUG, but not really because it benefits our business - we founded it, and since we've always been willing to do all the work, no one else volunteers! We always extend invitations to guest speakers, but don't get many takers.
