Unfortunately, I have already done this. I have tried setting the JVM path to: /usr/java/j2sdk1.4.1_04/ which produces the "no font properties file found" error. Setting the path to: /usr/java/j2sdk1.4.1_04/jre/ produces an error saying "Can't connect to X11 window server using ':0.0' as the value of the DISPLAY variable" I have XFree86 installed and it is running.
