One problem with this is for non-mouse users. If you use the keyboard to
edit a select box, onchange fires every time you press a key. Onblur only
fires when you tab out of the field. Also, I (a mouse user) have been
trapped by this too -- the select box responds to a mouse wheel and you
think you're scrolling down the page, but really you're selecting some
option and executing it with onchange ....

Just something to bear in mind.
