One problem with this is for non-mouse users. If you use the keyboard to edit a select box, onchange fires every time you press a key. Onblur only fires when you tab out of the field. Also, I (a mouse user) have been trapped by this too -- the select box responds to a mouse wheel and you think you're scrolling down the page, but really you're selecting some option and executing it with onchange ....
Just something to bear in mind. > I simply prefer onblur for text inputs, and usually use onchange for > select ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?forumid=4 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?method=subscribe&forumid=4 FAQ: http://www.thenetprofits.co.uk/coldfusion/faq Signup for the Fusion Authority news alert and keep up with the latest news in ColdFusion and related topics. http://www.fusionauthority.com/signup.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.4
