I concur. HTTP compression works well with IIS5.0 and ColdFusion MX.
No added purchase or change to code necessary. See here for a good description of how to set it up: http://www.eggheadcafe.com/articles/20020716.asp The gzip filter from Servlet Suite also works well: http://www.servletsuite.com/servlets/gzipflt.htm But is not as efficient as implementing compression via IIS.
