What if it's an applet that is encompassed in a CF app? I wonder if that
would still violate the license.

The DB drivers for CFMX are in WEB-INF/cfusion/lib in a jar file called
macromedia_drivers.jar. However, as Barney pointed out, there may be
licensing issues if you use them for a non-CF application.
