Flash has its uses, but i dont think it should fully replace HTML, especially when you notice these performance issues!

Just because you can technically use _javascript_ as a database (it's been done!  funny story) doesn't mean you should!  haha

  This is particularly noticeable when have several browser pages
  concurrently displaying Flash pages on the macromedia site -- they
  compete with each other for client resources -- even tae pages are
  inactive (in the background).
