I'm gonna have to setup an Internet radio. As I am shopping around for a
dedicated server I came up with this issue: How much bandwidth and what
kind of connection would I need for the station so that 2,000 users
could hear the streaming at the same time at 128kbps.
Most sales people I spoke with could not give me a clear answer.
One of the companies told me a 1 terabyte/month data transfer with a
5mbps connection would do the job. Do I need this much?
Something else. We're thinking of transmitting on plain mp3 only. No wma
or ra. Is this a good move?
Any input would be helpful.
