Assuming none of your strings will contain commas, pass it as a comma
delimited list, and then use a like clause instead of an in clause...

where ',' + @parameter + ',' like '%,' + columname + ',%'

otherwise there aren't really any great ways (as far as I'm concerned)
to use IN and a list with a stored procedure... IN and a sub-select is
another story.
