Ahhh...you didn't pick the right option....don't just pick the "copy all tables" option (or whatever it's called...it's the default selection)...there's another option on the same screen that says something along the lines of "Copy objects and data...".

After picking that you can pick which objects to pick (think the default is everything)

    Well if you use SQL Server you must have Enterprise Manager....if so then
  whenever you feel like it your should be able to use DTS to suck a copy to
  your local machine (of course now that there seems to be no server to suck
  from...well...life just sucks)
