Why does it take that long? Perhaps CF is not the best choice for this type of a process.  Make sure you're using the right tool for the job.  Just because you have a hammer and know how to use a hammer doesn't make the hammer the best for putting a screw in.  It might be worth taking the time to learn something else or still use CF to fire off a java program or something that will accomplish this.

I have a page that needs scheduling and may take something like 2 ½ to 3 hours to complete. I could break this same page down into 11-12 smaller pages and schedule them individually; it would probably take similar time for the entire process. Does anyone know if it's better to have shorter jobs run or one long job?
