I wrote a script to see exactly what cfx_zip sees in this file, and it is the
same 10,002 files that winzip saw, even though I am told the zip file contains
over 50,000 files.

Zipped the file is 264 MB.

Anyway, here's a description of the software that producted the zip file:

"The program I am using for zipping is Info-Zip's Zip 2.3, which is
distributed with RedHat Linux 9.0. It was compiled with gcc 3.2.1 20021207
(Red Hat Linux 8.0 3.2.1-2) for Unix (Linux ELF) on Jan 25 2003.
Information for it can be found at http://www.info-zip.org/pub/infozip/ and
I believe 2.3 is the current release. This is the standard zip/unzip suite
for Linux, so this incompatibility is pretty surprising."

Ever heard anything negative about Info-Zip?

Thanks,
Susanna
