Oh man, that all sounds way to familiar. Thank god for loadbalancers. BTW, we recently bought and are running a loadbalancer from http://www.loadbalancer.org/clustered.htm. They are a small company, but the product is great and the service is great. The load balancer comes with two units, a master and a slave (to avoid the loadbalancer becoming the single point of failure) and only costs 7,138.31 USD. We are very happy with it.
