Thanks very much, Bryan, but that doesn't seem to be the problem.  I 
renamed the field to "banana", and it still doesn't work.

I'm kind of stumped.  Anyone else got any ideas?

I will take your other advice about learning more SQL, but just so I 
know, what's wrong with CFUPDATE & CFINSERT?
