<cfprocessingdirective suppresswhitespace="true"></cfprocessingdirective> and <cfsetting cfoutputonly="true" /> will go a long way towards reducing it. If you don't want any, however, you'll need to judiciously use CFSILENT or some kind of post-processing to strip the whitespace out of the generated content.
