well i'll shut up bout vs cause i really dont know but it sure as hell aint
going anywhere near my machine!

how did i write that? was it magic? no, its called thank god for dual boot
with a good os on it (linux):) But actually that was sent from other puter.
and dave i have no idea, i mean u cant really mess up installing it and i
doubt its hardware since linux purrrrrrs like dream on it, i just have no idea,
none, ziltch.
At least its giving me variety these days the last 2 times its crashed I boot
up and it says my profile is corrupt, grrrrrrrrrrrrr. The puter maybe the prob,
who knows but its a top of the line dell (ok maybe thats it, lol), a new puter
is definately coming, been really impressed with the gf's g4 powerbook mac, so
i guess i'll join dick as a mac junkie! whoo hoo!! and of course gotta get the
mac mini just cause its cool!

joe id sure like to respond to some of that but im just too damn pissed off
right now to bother.
mostly I have friends that us vs and while some say its really nice others say
its not (as will always happen) the biggest complaint i hear about it is that
it makes u have to really go back and tweak it to write compliant code (reminds
me of how fp does it) but then again wouldnt expect one of their products to be
compliant, thats why its so odd they are going with cssp style pages now! They
must be using dreamweaver ;) hehe

this time i am installing cfm7 & mysql on a seperate hard drive at least so
they are safe.

on a lighter note, we are having the big launch party for www.icandfashion.com
on may 10th at club vinyl (www.1082broadway.com) in denver is anyone wants to
come get funky with a bunch of hotties models :)

Yes...a text editor is a text editor is a text editor. You won't
obviously won't get syntax highlighting etc. for CFM.

I'm a MS web developer and I'd like to think I do good work. If
you've ever used VS for ASP.NET work, you'd see there's a lot MS does
for its developers that would be nice to have in an MM IDE.

> So they have what? .net and......

...net...and...market share, and a nice IDE, and a wide range of
products that, despite quality issues, sell based on the MS brand
alone. Not that I'm a huge fan of the company, but they have a lot
going for them, and a lot of smart people.

Ok, IE is a piece...

> remember asp and how BIG it was gunna be........

It was big. Still is. And I can't stand it (classic or ASP.NET).

> Isnt vs just a glorified fp anyway?

No, not at all. VS comes from VB and Visual C. It may have a little
bit of the old FP for dealing with web stuff, but VS is their IDE for
all MS development, not just web stuff.

They know it'd be pointless to do that, because we'd call it .aspx
then rename it .cfm.

Sounds like a neat trick, how exactly are you typing this? May want
to get a Mac mini :)
