Well a biggie was a nicely formatted PDF created on the fly from data using a Java package from SourceForge called iText.
Some smaller things are file size, auto-thumbnailing images...that kind of stuff I haven't played with CF 7s ability to create PDFs on the fly....but I'd bet my method is better given the custom nature of the document produced Basically if you can find Java that does xyz you should be able to do the same thing in CF.
