I can verify that it is CF that is doing this. In CFMX (6) you could set any query cell to any value. In CFMX 7 it looks that CFMX uses typed columns. You can not use querysetcell to format a date in the mm/dd/yyyy format, if the query is returning a date column.

Perhaps it was a change in drivers between 6.1 and 7 but CF itself doesn't really have anything to do with this (although I could be wrong).
