Hi all,

I looked into the archives and couldn't find an answer to my question.
I'm trying to install CFMX7 Dev. Edition to test our app for a future
upgrade to 7.0. I want it setup in the Multiserver and Apache config
since it's what we use on our production boxes.

I'm on Linux Fedora Core 3, I know it's not supported but FC3 being
close to redhat I thought it wouldn't be a problem. So I downloaded
the install, ran the console install. Didn't use the default path for
JRun4 or CFMX, specified the Apache conf, bin and script paths, made
the server use the same user as Apache. Install completed fine. I was
then able to start cfusion. When it came time to run the Apache
Connector, I got this "The connector Wizard has not been able to
contact the local ColdFusion MX (mutlisever), connector installation
aborted." after 12 retries.

Basically, I followed the instructions written there:
http://livedocs.macromedia.com/coldfusion/7/htmldocs/wwhelp/wwhimpl/common/html/wwhelp.htm?context=ColdFusion_Documentation&file=part_ins.htm

Anyone has ideas as to what I'm missing? Can I just edit httpd.cconf
by hand? Can I use the Dev version with Apache at all, I haven't seen
anything saying I couldn't? Is it a FC3 issue?

Thanks a lot for your time,

Marc Campeau
