Environment - Windows NT4, SP5 on Dell PC-based hardware, ColdFusion 4.0.1
Professional, non-clustered environment.

Has anyone come across the situation where web-services and SMTP services
are randomly stopped, possibly by SiteMinder?

The network administrator is trying to identify what's causing it.
Apparently there are no error messages and the Event Log doesn't reveal
anything.
