Your http.conf file looks good. Do you have a DNS or hosts file entry 
for clientsite1?
I take it you're running your browser and apache on the same PC? In 
which case you should add the following line to the hosts file on the PC.
127.0.0.1       intranet clientsite1 clientsite2

I assume you're running Windows, in which case you can find your hosts 
file in
C:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
(under unix it's in /etc/hosts)

(use notepad to edit it)
