Tom, I did as you suggested, and things seem to be working as I would have expected. I can re-order web service arguments, and I don't get errors. Also, when I refresh my web services within the CF Administrator, the .class files update. So, that's a good sign. I'll keep an eye on it, and if I start to see odd behavior again, I'll re-post.
One question: under what circumstances will the .class files *not* be updated? Does the administrator check file dates, and only refresh if the .class and related .cfc files are out of sync, or does it re-write them no matter what?
