A totally different comparison. Comparing a "Microsoft-Horny" business attitude towards products which need active marketing. But to support your comparison, Microsoft did an enormous amount of .NET commercials on television, entire glossy pages in magazine. The difference is however, they don't have to explain the product. The word "Microsoft" means money for businesses. The amount of money spend by Microsoft on .NET marketing runs into millions and millions.
