right but that could be getting changed, maybe even adding <cfif 
variables.isEdit = true> might help
 but without seeing what the form in action its hard to guess, is it viewable 
by me?

Dave,

The problem is the that sometimes the flash form (that do what pretends 
to do) sometimes became "unclickable".

The cfif is because the variable is evaluated as a boolean. It always 
exists, but it's value can be true or false.
