Well the three people I'm thinking of specifically told me in no
uncertain terms that they felt they had short attention spans. Though
that's hardly a scientifically accurate sample, and I think you may be
right for a large number of programmers it may just be that each
presentation I've recorded/given thus far attempts to cover too much
material by itself. As the author I tend to have the problem that a
lot of authors have in not realizing how much material is really being
covered in a given presentation because I've already long-since
absorbed it all, so to me it's all "old hat" and I don't realize how
quickly I might seem to be "zipping through" things to someone who's
seeing it for the first time. I think I also tend to think about the
framework in a holistic way so I tend to want to explain all the
interrelationships between the framework's different features (like
the synergy between automated code execution and the (x)html library).
