This is one of those things that make you want to place your head on the
ground and get a running start before kicking it across the room. I had
a client with a project VERY SIMILAR to myspace.com a few years ago who
wanted to offer me a substantial share of ownership in return for
building it and I didn't really feel like it was worth getting involved
in. My reluctance was, in part, due to the fact that it was to be a
paid-only site with no free access, but was also due to an overall
skepticism about whether the idea was viable in and of itself. Now I
look back and wonder why I didn't jump all over it and do all I could to
talk the guy into going the free access route. Oh well, who needs
boatloads of cash anyway, right???
