Hey Greg, Nope....not with TIFFs....they are a beast unto themselves. The big issue there is that many TIFFs are stacks (often multiple pages of a fax). It's pretty tough to thumbnail a stack ;-)
I did just write a function that takes a TIFF stack and convert it to a PDF on the fly....works like a champ....16 page TIFF converts in about 400 ms) The function requires the iText package available on SourceForge Cheers Bryan Stevenson B.Comm.
