Well who cares about the arsey comments. There will always be someone who finds your script, tag, whatever useful, and that's why you release it. For those that don't, no-one is making them use it and I fthey think they can do better, then they should just go and do so. There is plenty of ASP/PHP kack out there as well.

Now as far as Will releasing this you gotta remember that's someone who bases if their day is good or not by whether or not he gets his undies put on forwards or backwards on the first try :) ~Dave the disruptor~ "A criminal is a person with predatory instincts who has not sufficient capital to form a corporation." ---------------------------------------- From: "Russ Michaels" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Saturday, July 30, 2005 3:46 AM To: CF-Talk <cf-talk@houseoffusion.com> Subject: RE: Affiliate Programs There are tons of free affiliate scripts out there (none in CF though), why not download one and install it and see what it does so u can duplicate it in cF. Try www.resourceindex.com Poor old CF is very lacking in free online scripts, so maybe you could put your CF affiliate one online once it's done. I have no problems with BUILDING it, my problem is I dunno exactly *WHAT* it should do. As it stands now, I set them up in my db, give them an AffID, give them a link with token like: ?AFFID=327, I track them as they hit the site using onSessionStart, enter all the needed info in the db when the sale is complete - works great! Then I have an affiliate admin area where they can view generated sales from their ID, and their percentage of sales. So where do I go from here? What's the routine when actually paying the affiliates? Do you just set them up on a monthly payment schedule? Ok ABC Corp, we pay you your cut the 1st of every month? I just don't know exactly how it's supposed to work. And how should I let them view sales? Right now it's just displaying everything generated with their ID.
