I think the point was specifically that he wanted to do it in CF because he _counldn't_. ;^) He was purposefully setting himself a challenge to his skills - which I'm all for. He'll learn a lot. But in the end I agree with you much more than I disagree - it may be better for him to learn something else to do it - if it made sense (and in this case it doesn't seem to me).
