Well, that sounds good on the QofQ...I know it's faster than re-querying the database, but sounds pretty quick based on what you said. I'm going to have to use it anyway, I don't have much of an option. In this case, I need to search for documents (and query results) modified within the last 7 days, so I'll just use the QofQ to make it work.

If your date searching can be a bit "loose", you can use categories, with names like May2005, April2005, etc. This would allow you to match eocuments wihin a month. Or even CategoryTree=2005,Category=2004. You couldn't do everything _before_ a day, but, it's an option. Also - I'd reconsider your QofQ. We use it for a large site and it works very quickly.
