Rey, <shameless_plug> This sounds very similar to our product CFTicket. It has threading, keeps history of customer contacts, allows you to reply/delete/forward all emails from the server, etc.
You can take a look at it at http://www.cornfeed.com. There is an online demo that you can try, as well as a trial version (if you have CFMX 7+). </shameless_plug> The only problem you may have is that the subjects have some identifying string in it, which you may/may not like.
