I'm catching up on this thread, but ... I do think CF should have image manipulation. I'm not about to go and learn Java or anything vaguely "codey" if i can possibly help it, not enough hours in the day and I bought CF for the very reason I would never have to learn Java! Programming at that level just isn't for me, I find it tedious.
