because it wasn't supported. in general it didn't mess w/encodings 
though. are you sure cffile is the culprit? it might be the "parsing" 
process.

mx cffile parameter, why would you think it would work in cf5?

1) push forward the upgrade to cf7.
2) if you can't do #1, then you'll need another mechanism to move the 
files around (if indeed, cffile is the culprit). small amount java code 
using java.io.File class should do the trick (but using java & cf5 is no 
fun).
