Oh no, the MySQL tools are just horrible. I've always used the cmd line for most of my interaction with MySQL, but I've been using EMS MySQL Manager lately and it is really nice. It was installed on my machine when I started this job and I've really fallen into using it quite a bit. I've used Toad with Oracle and Enterprise Mangler/ QA with SQL Server quite a bit, but I think they both pale in comparison to the EMS product with MySQL.
