To be honest, I was hoping this would not go down the 'how much should I
charge' route and more aimed at the how do go about quantify the amount of
work involved in an application.
As to answering your rate question. Go get a contract through an agency that
are open about their 'take'. They will get what they can for you. There is
no right answer. In London you can get upwards of £90 per hour (possibly
even more). In Bristol more like £50. It is simply a case of you accepting a
job at a particular rate.
Cost of living/travel etc makes a big impact. Teleworking usually commands a
lower rate, although I dislike Telework only projects and prefer the on site
for a bit/off site for a bit approach.
