Actually, it's pretty darn good. We have found another help desk application, but it costs a few tens-of-thousands. We just don't have the budget for it right now.
I wasn't involved much in choosing the application. Our previous mgt tended to throw $$$ at solutions when it wasn't needed. He came from big corporations where that was commonplace. But, yes, it may be hideous, but we like it.
