It's the simple things that people don't even know you built in that can be the most important.
For example, CFAJAX (your best bet in my opinion, if you want to get away with minimal effort in your own JS) just added the "suggest" feature. So, your user can start typing in a textbox and a list of matching results pops up for them to click on (a custom autocomplete). That's something they'll just use because it's an enhancement to their user experience that speeds the data entry.
