Yes, the free version is NOT a service, so you have to start it on a
reboot. That means you put it in your startup folder and login (and
stay logged in). Or pay $49 for the service. I've got a client using
it and that's precisely what they do on a reboot.

For a dev/test server, that probably isn't a deal killer, but $49
bucks saves you ever having to think about it again...
