don't be too hard on Macromedia. From what I undestand, MySQL's modern JDBC drivers are released under a license that basically prohibits macromedia from distributing them. you don't have to do odbc passthru, you can just use "Other" and install a current MySQL JDBC Driver. That's why I do.
