Thanks for the answer. So, if my variable is #GPA# and the value 
stored is "4", I should use numberFormat(#GPA#, '9.99') so that it is 
displayed as "4.00"?

Ok, but the error described in 2) pertains to an input field in a 
form that contains a comma (e.g., "2,450.00") which is sent to a 
database. How could numberFormat() be used (if applicable) to format 
the number so that, when sent to the database, an error due to the 
comma is not generated?
