Thanks James. I have all my stuff closed down right now, hitting the bed. 

I did come up with an idea. Right now tblStates has a stateID for the PK. I 
always like using ID's for PK's. If I drop stateID and let stateAbbr be the PK, 
it gets dropped into the other tables - no need to join tblStates.
