Just to add to this, in case anyone can shed any light...

Something I had forgotten we had done, and didn't realise it had effected as
we hadn't used RDS for about a week on the Intranet server.
We changed our IP Address range as we upgraded from ISDN to aSDL for the
whole office

If the primary IP for a machine changes, does RDS (or even Server) need
reinstalling to get it to work?
