We have thought about doing this but it's not a high priority. However,
you might try setting a domain-wide cookie, then see if you can tweak
Sharepoint to read that cookie and consider it authenticated.

We have many sites that require the same login information, but no one
has complained to the point where it is an actual issue.

Subject: Logging a user into Active Directory

We're exploring the whole active directory integration between various
systems we have here. I have a CF application quite happily
authenticating a user against active directory and using AD groups etc
for personalisation.

What we're aiming for though is a CF powered login page authenticating
the user against active directory but then persisting that AD login at
the client for perhaps then a seemless login to an MS Sharepoint site or
another AD user aware application. This is all assuming that the user is
not already logged into a PC that is in an Active Directory.

Now I know it's not likely given where authentication occurs....If a
user is logged into a workstation as an AD user then those credentals
are presented to every server they access but is it possible to set
those AD credentials on the client from a CF/ASP page?

Any one played with Active Directory integration at this level?

thanks

john.
