A client site of mine is getting a bunch of 404 errors now when Google/MSN/Yahoo bots are trying to find pages that were on their old site.
Will this problem just fix itself over time? Should I set the header info (other than a 404 status)? Something like a permanent redirect or a permanent not found or something? Just something to let the bots know not to index the error page, but instead to realize that they don't need to have that link anymore? Thanks, .......................
