Gearhost is a pretty good host. They offer every major language. www.gearhost.com
My company, ICGLink, also offers Coldfusion hosting (currently 6.1 with plans to upgrade soon). www.icglink.com I have a lot of web designers here in Nashville, TN who use Dreamhost. Many of them swear by it. I don't think they'd try to scam people. I've also never noticed that they have CF hosting.
