With <!-- you would actually see the results of the executed code,
but you wouldn't see the source.

I don't think <!--- is very well documented, when I was starting out
I went through the entire tutorial CD and read quite a bit of the books
that came with it, but never learned about it until another programmer
mentioned it to me.
