I'm no Tom Jordahl - trust me - but the answers to your questions are, yes,
probably not, and yes.

If you've installed K2, which is part of the default CF 7 installation, it
will include vspider. However, it is configured to only index via localhost,
which in a shared environment will probably not point to your virtual
server. In addition, you probably won't have a command shell from which to
run vspider, or the rights to run arbitrary binaries outside of your own
personal folder anyway. And, if you did, the license limitations would apply
to the entire server, not just to your site.
