<cfproperty> doesn't actually set a variables in a standard CFC. In fact, I think the only thing it does is help with the Meta Data if that? For a standard CFC I would say don't worry about it at all.

But if I am not creating a webservice, just a simple cfc is there an advantage in using <cfproperty> over just setting the variable. It would appear as though I have the advantage of establishing a data type. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Introducing the Fusion Authority Quarterly Update. 80 pages of hard-hitting, up-to-date ColdFusion information by your peers, delivered to your door four times a year. http://www.fusionauthority.com/quarterly Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Talk/message.cfm/messageid:248060 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:4 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.4
