Carlos, I can't give you too much information here, but a co-work of mine did this very thing and his card-swipe reader acted like a keyboard and threw the data from the card (user ID) directly into a hidden form field on the web page as long as the web page was opened and the form field was focused. He didn't even have to configure anything (I think).
