No, from this:

<cfloop list="#mylist#" index="listItem">

myList is a string and listItem is a string. You then do this:

INSERT INTO sub_categories (sub_category,cat_id )
VALUES (<cfqueryparam value="#myList#">,<cfqueryparam value="#listItem#">)

You are inserting the whole list into sub_category and the individual
list item into cat_id.

What do you actually want to do?
